Lyra Ring ii | Gold

Lyra Ring ii | Gold

£390.00

The Lyra family captures the ancient world’s relationship with storytelling in a gently graduated form —

One of the smallest constellations, Lyra depicts a lyre and is home to one of our brightest stars, Vega.

In Ancient Greece, the lyre -closely resembling the harp- was the most unifying musical instrument. Lyric poetry to the accompaniment of the lyre was how society experienced storytelling; publicly, over the course of days for all to hear.

The core of these stories are still with us today as the epic cycle; the Iliad, the Odyssey, and the Aeneid.

The larger of two sister rings, Lyra Ring II is a bolder, graduated form measuring approximately 3.5mm at the widest point.
